What is happening | Seniors will get help completing their Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and earn a chance to win $1,000 on Jan. 29. Students must sign up and complete their application and a survey during the online session from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to qualify.
Why does it matter | The $1000 is an extra incentive for students to complete and submit their FAFSA. The FAFSA itself benefits low-income students by affording college tuition and attending certain colleges that otherwise would have been inaccessible.
What students should know before going | College Counselor Mary Charlton provided details on the information students should have before the Saturday session. These include your social security number and your parents’ 2020 Tax report.
