Set in Japan in the year 1600, Lord Yoshii Toranaga is fighting for his life as his enemies on the Council of Regents unite against him, when a mysterious European ship is found marooned in a nearby fishing village.

With this show coming out late February  it immediately grabbed an audience of over nine million. Set in Japan in the year 1600 this historical drama series is based off of James Clavell historical fiction novel and as of May 16 was confirmed for a second season.
