Temperatures are cooling down and Halloween is quickly approaching, so here is a list of three things to do this fall weekend to kick off the spooky season.

Nightmare before Halloween

Halloween is coming up fast, and so is the return of many spooky movies. You have the opportunity to see “The Nightmare Before Christmas” at the AMC Theater in Universal City Walk on Oct. 19 and 20 at 3 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. in 3D. Tickets are sold for $20 for adults and $18 for children.

With $4 activities such as a petting zoo, a straw maze, bounce houses and more, Tina's Pumpkin Patch offers a cheap way to have some fall-themed fun.
Play in a pumpkin patch

Located near the Westfield Fashion Square at 4725 Woodman Ave., Sherman Oaks, CA 91423, Tina’s Pumpkin Patch offers a fun time for everyone. Entrance to the pumpkin patch is free with a $4 charge for all the activities, including train rides, bouncers, slides and obstacle courses. The patch is open most weekends from 10 a.m. to 8 or 9 p.m.

After the release of the new sequel to the 1988 film "Beetlejuice", you won't want to miss out on the immersive experience where fans can explore the odd world of the afterlife.
Experience the afterlife

Venture into the afterlife with everyone’s favorite bio-exorcist at the “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” located at Ovation Hollywood Suite 201 on Oct. 19 and 20. Take a moment to explore the recreated sets, grab food at the Afterlife Diner and explore the gift shop! All ages welcome from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. for $36.
