Three things to do this weekend
Halloween is coming up fast, and so is the return of many spooky movies. You have the opportunity to see “The Nightmare Before Christmas” at the AMC Theater in Universal City Walk on Oct. 19 and 20 at 3 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. in 3D. Tickets are sold for $20 for adults and $18 for children.
Located near the Westfield Fashion Square at 4725 Woodman Ave., Sherman Oaks, CA 91423, Tina’s Pumpkin Patch offers a fun time for everyone. Entrance to the pumpkin patch is free with a $4 charge for all the activities, including train rides, bouncers, slides and obstacle courses. The patch is open most weekends from 10 a.m. to 8 or 9 p.m.
Venture into the afterlife with everyone’s favorite bio-exorcist at the “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” located at Ovation Hollywood Suite 201 on Oct. 19 and 20. Take a moment to explore the recreated sets, grab food at the Afterlife Diner and explore the gift shop! All ages welcome from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. for $36.
LAUSD's budget leaves the award-winning journalism program at Van Nuys High School with a $0 budget in the upcoming school year. Without YOUR support, The Mirror cannot cover its expenses, hurting students directly and putting something that took years to build at genuine risk of falling behind.
Please consider making a donation to cover other VNHS journalism program expenses this school year
