The Varsity Girls Volleyball Team visited the Kennedy Cougars on Monday, Oct. 2, losing all three sets.

The match was a back and forth affair as both teams exchanged the lead in the beginning of the first set. Strong serving allowed the Wolves to keep the Cougars at bay until the midway point. The Cougars gained momentum behind the play of their opposite hitter who lifted her team to a first set victory.

The second set was tightly contested as both teams traded points with another. Clean passing from the Wolves allowed them to have an edge in the final points of the set, but due to unforced errors their opponent stormed back. The Cougars took full advantage, stealing the set away 22-25.

In the final set, the Cougars continued to dictate the flow of the game, holding the lead and sweeping the Wolves.

“Inconsistency in all aspects of the game caused us the match,” said team member Aileen Flores.

Final Score: 17-25, 22-25, 17-25.
