FOOTBALL: Defensive issues continue as Van Nuys drops their season finale


The Wolves played their season finale against Reseda on Friday, Nov.3.

Van Nuys started off the game strong as they established the run game early on. The Wolves shed numerous tackles and forced their way down the field as they gained an early lead by halftime. In the second half, offensive and defensive penalties allowed the Regents to gain yardage. In the process it allowed Reseda to gain their offensive momentum while the defense for the Wolves began to crumble. The Regents would takeover in the fourth and pulling ahead for a 42-22 win.

Van Nuys started off the game with multiple misplays. The Wolves were unable to move the ball effectively, as the offense was unable to pass midfield. This allowed the Regents to have advantageous field position. The Regents would move the ball effectively as their run and pass plays exploited the Wolves. Van Nuys would continue their offensive and defensive woes throughout the rest of the game as Reseda would lighted the scoreboard, while Van Nuys would score one touchdown apiece in the third and fourth quarter.
