GIRLS VOLLEYBALL: Varsity wins via forfeit ; JV soars in straight sets
Heading into the final leg of the regular season, Van Nuys looks to add more momentum as they faced the Kennedy Cougars, on Wednesday, Oct.11.
Starting off the match slow, the JV Girls trailed midway through the first set. Miscues on receive and passing would damper the offense, and allow the Cougars to gain easy points. After a quick timeout, the Wolves charged back, as their serving paved the way to a 25-19 win. Miscommunication and unforced errors from the Cougars, gave the Wolves a commanding lead throughout the second set, as finished with a 25-12 win.
However, due to an asthma attack from a JV player, the Head Coach of Kennedy High School had to accompany her to the hospital. With no qualified coach for the Cougars, Van Nuys won by forfeit.
