Van Nuys Remains Defeated

FOOTBALL: The Wolves were thrashed by the Spartans, as defensive struggles continue.

Van Nuys looks to gain their first victory, as they traveled to Sylmar on Thursday Sept.28.

Starting off the JV team, struggled on offense, as running lanes were blocked by Sylmar’s linebackers. Throughout the game, the Wolves secondary on defense were unable to stop the passes. Charging up the field with ease, Sylmar would eventually shut out the Wolves in a 38-0 rout.

With two quick touchdowns in the first half, the Spartans would lead 13-0. However the Wolves’ offense would respond as the running game carved up the lanes, resulting in 14-13 lead by halftime. However the offense would diminish, as the Spartans exploited the secondary. The Wolves would convert a two point conversion off a late touchdown, but ultimately falling to Sylmar.
