Van Nuys Bounces Back
GIRLS VOLLEYBALL: The Wolves finally recover as they end their two-game losing streak.
Suffering from back to back losses in the previous games, Van Nuys Girls Volleyball looks to start anew as they won against Valley Academy of Arts and Sciences on Friday, Sept.29.
A combination of tough float serves and bad receives on VAAS in the first set for JV allowed the Wolves to win 25-7. The serving would continue as the Wolves propelled themselves to a 25-12 win in the second set.
Consistent passes on receive from Maureen Bompat #8 kept the ball in play for the Varsity team. Led by Soana Manu #12, the Wolves persistently attacked from the pins which helped them win the first set 25-14 . The Wolves continued with tough serves, leaving the Vipers in disarray in the last two sets.
Final Score: 25-14, 25-12, 25-16
