    Van Nuys Struggles Against Franklin

FOOTBALL: The VNHS Varsity Football team takes the loss with the end score of 36-14.

Due to the heat, the first VNHS Football JV home game of the season was cancelled. Fortunately, the Varsity team was allowed to get on the field after the heat cooled down at around 5 pm.

The first quarter showcased a close competitive game, with the first touchdown scored by #10 Captain Rene Hernandez on a run play that made the score 14-7.

Throughout second quarter, Van Nuys made multiple errors which allowed Franklin to create turnovers and score effectively.

In the third quarter, Van Nuys responded with an interception by #7 Alexis Herrera that eventually led to a touchdown. Franklin’s running backs began exploiting the lanes and marched down the field with ease, disrupting the Wolves’ momentum and ending the quarter, and eventually the game, with a score of 36-14.
