Granada Hills Crushes Van Nuys
VOLLEYBALL: Varsity suffers 3-0 loss; JV loses 2-0
Because of issues with returning the receive and struggling with digging the ball, The Van Nuys Girl’s Volleyball team lost all three sets to Granada Hills on Friday, Aug. 21. The JV team lost both of their sets as well.
After coming off a victory against Northridge Academy, the Varsity Wolves were held to single-digit scores against the much stronger Granada team.
“Given that it was our second game of the season, I believe we did our best. Although we didn’t win, we will work to learn from this experience to grow as a team and strive for our goal–winning championships,” said Alex Eleazar, one of the four team captains.
Final Score: 25-4, 25-7, 25-9.
