BMX riders inspire students with anti-bullying message

Assembly blends extreme sports with powerful stories

TRUTH MATTERS… Donate to support excellence in student journalism

This Thursday, March 4, 2025, fourth and fifth period Physical Education students at our school got a break from their usual school routine when the No Hate High School Tour rolled onto campus.

This wasn’t just any assembly, it was a mix of insane Bicycle Motocross (BMX) stunts, personal stories and a strong message about anti-bullying, mental health and inclusion.

The event took place on the Physical Education blacktop, where students gathered to watch professional BMX riders pull off jaw-dropping tricks.

But between the back flips and high flying action, the athletes took time to talk about something even more important.

As the riders spoke, the crowd went from hyped cheers to silent focus. They talked about how bullying whether in person or online can have a lasting impact and how speaking up can make a huge difference.

Kindness, resilience and standing up against hate was the main motive for the assembly. Their biggest take away was you’re not alone. The speakers encouraged students to support each other, speak up against bullying and create a more positive environment. The energy was high and the message hit home for a lot of people.

By the end of the assembly, it was clear that the No Hate High School Tour wasn’t just about cool tricks, it was about making a real impact.
