The bottom line | The boy’s basketball team won 84-79  against the Hollywood Sheiks in the semi-finals of the 2022 CIF LA City Section Boys’ Basketball Championships (Division II).

What’s next | It all comes down to the last game. The last match of the season will be against the LACES Unicorns. At first glance, the Unicorns seem like a surprising team to make it so far in the tournament, boasting only a 2-9 league record and 17-15 overall record. Their lack of success could be reasoned by the intense competition within their Western division, going against powerhouses like Palisades.

They will meet on Saturday, Feb. 26 at the Roybal Learning Center to determine who will be the city champions.

Before you go | Tickets can be purchased at this link or be paid for in-person at the door but they will not be accepting cash. A student ticket costs $8 and adult tickets are $10.

For the books |

  • 18 wins, 7 losses
  • 7 wins, 2 losses in the league
  • Division: Valley Mission
  • Playoffs Finals
