- In the second quarter, the Wolves set up an amazing communication and effort for their team to score from the mid-range.
- Byron Lim (#2) and Finn Komives (#1) played strong defense to end a threatening possession by the Knights.
What’s next | The Wolves will face off against The Buckley School Varsity team on Monday, Dec. 8.
Team thoughts | “This definitely wasn’t our best game and there were a lot of moments that we didn’t capitalize on,” senior Steven Tu said. “We’re for sure going to be looking at the film and have practices to make sure we’re ready for our next game. We’ve faced some early season struggles but it’s good to get those out of the way before league games start.”
Our thoughts | The matchup revealed that the opposing team’s skill and coordination were stronger than expected. Although one of the players in the opposing team had competed with one arm, something that might seem like an advantage for the Wolves, the player’s skill clearly outweighed any assumptions. Since the first quarter, SOCES maintained control of the pace and the scoreboard, making it difficult to close the gap. Despite the loss, the game highlighted areas for improvement and showed how much focus and teamwork matter.
