With only one day of practice, the varsity girls volleyball team played its first game of the season.
The team played against Northridge High School on Wednesday, losing 25-8 in the first set, 25-12 in the second set and 25-19 in the third set.
Despite the loss, player Claudia Segura remains optimistic.
“I believe our team has a lot of potential and a lot of space to improve,” Segura said.
Student Coach Antonieco Erasmo believes the team will win with enough practice.
“They’re on the path to being really good volleyball players.”
