“Let’s get down to business” to finally watch Mulan

The legendary Chinese warrior is back after 16 years. From slicing her hair with a sword to defeating the Huns, Mulan is coming back in live-action on Sept. 4 through Disney+.

The film will star Liu Yifei as Mulan, Yoson An as Chen Honghui, Donnie Yen as Commander Tung, and Jet Li as the emperor of China. Characters have been changed for the remake including the removal of Li Shang, Mulan’s previous love interest, and Mushu, her dragon friend.

Originally set to premiere on March 27, Mulan’s release was delayed twice due to the pandemic shutting down theaters. Despite the situation, Disney has decided to make it exclusively available to Disney+ subscribers.

To stream the movie, subscribers have to pay $29.99, but once purchased subscribers can watch it endlessly.
