Concerts in the U.S and other countries have been postponed or canceled due to the Coronavirus pandemic. But for some artists, the show must go on.

Large gatherings including festivals and concerts were highly discouraged by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. But this didn’t stop many artists from performing for their fans.

Artists such as John Legend, Coldplay’s Chris Martin, David Foster, Swae Lee and Hozier are among those who are live-streaming performances daily on Instagram’s IGTV.

Legend was live with his wife, Chrissy Teigan who were both inspired by Martin who did a live concert the day before on March 16. He sang his well-known hits such All of Me and others while accompanied by Teigan. About 114,000 people joined this stream.

Martin used the hashtag, #TogtherAtHome, to bring his fans together while he live-streamed IGTV. Although not all of the members of Coldplay were in the live, Martin made sure to entertain watchers with their popular music. Multiple times throughout his live, he sent prayers to all of his fans.

Foster, joined by Katherine McPhee, went live on Instagram offering fans entertainment while in quarantine. They took requests from followers and sang fan favorites. At the end of the live, Foster promised to go live every day. McPhee also commented on that saying that they would go live because there was nothing better to do. They have lived up to this promise by live-streaming everyday since March 16.

Swae Lee went live at a studio giving the positivity fans needed to get through these hard times. He even went ahead and chose a follower on the live-stream and invited him to be on the stream call, getting a chance to speak with Lee.

Hozier went live March 20, Friday evening singing “Nina Cried Power,” “Take me to Church” and many more believed songs of his. He was accompanied by a keyboardist who was harmonizing alongside him.

Other artists such as Niall Horan, Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato also went live. Most of the artists announce on their Instagrams that they will be going live at a certain time. So fans who keep up with their artists will know when to tune in.
