Van Nuys High sets a new peak in graduation rates in the school year 2017-2018.

The graduation rate rose by 3.8 percent from 84.4 percent to 88.2 percent over the past year.

The graduation rates of Hispanic students also exceeded state and national levels, with an 85 percent graduation rate.

The goal is to achieve a 100 percent graduation rate, according to VNHS Principal Mrs. Yolanda Gardea.

“I’m very excited for all the work that all our counselors, teachers, staff, and students had put in. We have a great team working together.” said Mrs. Gardea.
