Van Nuys Volleyball Blew A 2-0 Lead

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL: Varsity was unable to close out the game; JV regains their form.
Van Nuys looks to extend their winning streak, as they take on San Fernando on Wednesday, Oct.4.
From the start, San Fernando struggled to pass and receive, giving the JV Wolves multiple free balls. Eventually, the Tigers were unable to sustain themselves in the match as Van Nuys earned a sweep.
The Varsity Girls started the match strong, as Catalina Rodriguez #18 attacked the back row with hard hits, resulting in a 25-21 win. The Tigers responded with strong serves thWith a win in the third set, San Fernando quickly led 17-10 in the fourth set. Once again, Rodriguez #18 would lead a late surge as she earned five kills during this stretch. Falling short again, Van Nuys would head into the fifth and final set. With two sets tied apiece, San Fernando possessed all the momentum and cruised to a 15-8 win.
Final Score : 27-25, 25-21, 16-25, 23-25, 8-15
