61 percent of students did not meet or nearly met mathematics standards in the 2017 to 2018 academic year, and 34 percent did not meet or nearly met English Language Arts standards.
“When students don’t take these tests seriously, not only do they change the school’s image but they jeopardize the school name that’s on their own diploma,” Assistant Principal Maria Phillips said.
