Ana Gonzalez, a freshman, is on the staff of The Mirror, the award-winning student newspaper and website at Van Nuys High School in Los Angeles. In her spare time, she watches documentaries about crime and history or commentary videos. Ana loves writing stories, creating different characters and imagining them as their stories play out. Her current interests are Latin and history, which she studies for fun. Ana is obsessed with Homer’s “The Odyssey” and read a graphic novel version a year before the musical “Epic” came out. She also watched the 1997 movie and is currently saving up for the original book as well as “The Iliad.” She has two choices for her future: enlist in the U.S. Army or attend Oberlin College in Ohio to major in creative writing.
