On Oct. 22, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. an event was held for students in the big gym: the College and Career Fair.
At the beginning of the fair, students who were summoned to or taken to the gym by their teachers were given a bingo card to complete. It was optional, but students who chose to participate and engage with the school representatives were given prizes such as socks, stickers and markers.
If students showed interest at the stands, the students were given small gifts such as pens, flyers, lanyards and candy.
The purpose of the College and Career Fair was to show students different careers and colleges and to get them interested and motivated about the future. Students were exposed to new opportunities they could pursue. There were stands from different colleges, universities and community colleges — UCLA, CSUN and LAVC just to name a few. The Navy, Marines, Air Force and Army also promoted their programs to interested students.
“I think it was helpful for all the grades,” freshman Eli Blas said. “Especially with seniors because they have more of an advantage to get into a college instead of struggling to find one later after high school. It’s helpful for freshmen as well because they help us throughout high school and can help us get to college, especially with the CSUN trio on campus.”
