Highlights |
- The Lady Wolves started off the first quarter with a 12-3 lead.
- Halftime ended with the Wolves in a large lead with a score of 29-12.
- The third quarter is where the team started to lose steam, only scoring 11 points the whole quarter.
- Although the team began to tucker out, they finished out the fourth quarter strong with six points against the Knights’ two.
- Less girls wanted to play on the team this year, so the varsity team only consists of around six players. During this game, however, one player was not eligible to play, so the team only had a starting five.
- Karen Grewal got fouled out in the third quarter, leaving the team with only four players for the rest of the game.
What’s Next | The teams next game will be on Monday, Nov. 27, against Eagle Rock as an away game.
Team thoughts | “When the junior varsity team was playing all we could hear was the SOCES varsity talking a lot of trash about us so when they got beat by our varsity team we all felt so good,” junior varsity team member Angalina Volpe said.
Our thoughts | This is an amazing way to start off the season for the girls team because it only means that the lady wolves will continue to succeed for the remainder of their season. Make sure to support this amazing team throughout the season.
