Jorts
Upcycling has become a new source of fashion among many students. Alongside the increasing popularity of graphic baby tees, the early 2000s trend of wearing jean shorts is making a comeback during the warmer season. Cutting a pair of jeans just above the knee adds that fresh fall look everyone is going for.
Hoop Earrings
Originally a trend from Black and brown communities in the ‘80s, hoops, especially big hoop earrings, are becoming particularly popular among teens. Students are finding ways to incorporate hoops into their outfits, no matter what their preferred style of clothing is.
Maxi Skirts
As heat waves come and go, more and more students are opting for skirts and shorts instead of pants. However, 2023 means out with the old and in with the new. Mini and midi skirts are out, and maxi skirts are in. Many students are already beginning to rock the flowy maxi skirt look as fall rolls around.
Flare Leggings
Early 2000s trends aren’t the only thing making a comeback this year. The popular ‘60s and ‘70s look of flared leggings is back and can be seen all across campus. Worn as part of a variety of everyday looks, many students choose to wear flare leggings instead of the average skin-tight leggings or baggy sweats.
