FOOTBALL: The offense steamrolled Panorama’s defense
Hungry for another win, Van Nuys played on the Panorama turf on Friday, Oct.20.
The offense looked sharp as they overwhelmed the secondary and linebackers. With a combination of running and passing plays, JV Van Nuys moved the ball effectively throughout the night resulting in a 28-12 win.
At the start of the game, the offense for the Varsity Van Nuys was lackluster. From their inability to convert from the red zone, they trailed 6-0 in the third quarter. Eventually, the Wolves would recover an onside kick leading to a rushing touchdown from #2 Gabriel Barajas. Van Nuys would tally on a two point conversion and another touchdown at the end of the third. Midway through the fourth, #2 Gabriel Barajas would show off his footwork as he finessed his way to his second touchdown of the night, securing the lead and the win for Van Nuys.
