Young Sheldon Filming Features Jim Parsons

From the critically-acclaimed sitcom, The Big Bang Theory, Jim Parsons was spotted working on a pilot for his new series, Young Sheldon, in the halls of Van Nuys High School on Monday, March 20. Young Sheldon was picked up by CBS to feature Parsons’s sitcom character, Sheldon Cooper, during his time at Medford High School in 1989 Texas.The pilot episode, directed and executively produced by Jon Favreau, portrays eight-year-old Iain Armitage as the title character. The Warner Brothers film crew utilized the old-school aesthetic architecture in the science building, the front of the school, the principal’s office, and the football field. The series is set to premiere after The Big Bang Theory season in 2017-2018.
