Students vs. Teachers Basketball Game: Students prevail against the Teachers
Students and teachers showed their competitive spirits as they played each other in the “Students vs Teachers” basketball game on Wednesday, Nov. 16 in the Big Gym during lunch.
Students faced off against Coach Brent Shano, Mr. Robert Crosby, Coach Mike Levy, Ms.Wanda Moore, and many more.
The game was played in two 12-minute halves, in which five players from the student team and five players from the teacher team took the court for about four minutes, after which they were subbed out for the next set of students and teachers to play.
During the first minutes of the game, both teams were scoreless. It was not until one of the students, Senior Shailesh Alagan, made a three-pointer.
The second set of teachers were able to score four points, but the students managed to maintain the lead, 8-4.
The student lead continued in the third set 10-8.
In the second half, the teachers took the lead, 17-16.
The teachers’ lead continued with the next set as they prevented the students from scoring a single point, leading 19-16.
As the final rotation of players took to the court, the student team made a comeback, beating faculty by a mere two points, 27-25.
