The bottomline | The softball team played against the Panorama High School Pythons with a score of 23-11.

Highlights |

  • Freshman infielder Isabella Espinoza (#6) knocked it out the field achieving a scoring homerun
  • Junior centerfielder Angelina Volpe (#8) made a sneaky getaway successfully stealing a base
  • Senior pitcher and shortstop Yvette Cunuto (#16) hit an inside the park grand slam  which means Cunuto made a home run with all of the bases loaded, allowing for four runs to be scored

Whats next | The Lady Wolves will be tasked to play away against the Golden Valley Grizzlies on Monday, March 24.

Team thoughts| “The game was overall good,” junior third baseman Kimberly Nunez said. “In the beginning a lot of us were getting walked and some players had RBI’s (runs batted in). Towards the last inning which was the fifth we started making some mistakes like dropping the ball and letting it go past us which was allowing the other team to make more runs.”

Our thoughts| The girls put all their dedication, hard work and teamwork to successfully come out with a win. When playing with determination it’s amazing to see what they can achieve when they all work together.

For the books|

  • 2 wins , 3 losses
  • Valley Mission League
