Will Smith clip fuels dance challenge to Doechii’s song
Pop culture update: Trends emerge from Doechii's remix and Pequeño Cidadão's song
Somebody’s Watching Me feat. Doechii

An old Doechii remix of Sleepy Hallow’s song “A N X I E T Y” became popular once again causing her to release it as a full song and a trend to stem from it.

Many years back up and coming rapper, Doechii, had a song sampled by rapper and songwriter, Sleepy Hallow. She then later sampled “Somebody I Used to Know” by Gotye and remixed it with Hallow’s song, cut to now and the song has once again been found and gone viral causing her to release a full length version.

The trend that stemmed from this song specifically has to do with the lyrics, “Somebody’s watching me, it’s my anxiety…” and a clip of Will Smith from the Fresh Prince of Bel Air, the popular 90s sitcom. The clip is of Smith walking in on Tatyana Ali’s character, Ashley Banks, dancing alone in her room with headphones on. Not being able to hear when Smith comes in she keeps dancing until she turns around and sees that Will Smith is dancing with her.

Many people have made it a trend to dance and make jokes using the song.

Tried Being the Moon…

Going from blonde to black is a big change, it changes your entire look and maybe even your personality with it.

This trend is to the song “O Sol e a Lua” by Pequeno Cidadão and is about changing your hair, as well as trying to be someone you’re not.

It’s usually two pictures with one saying “I tried being the moon,” with that person having a dark hair color on and then transitioning to the next photo that says “turns out I’m the sun,” now with the person having blonde or a lighter color of hair or vice versa.

It’s gone viral with many people relating to the trend and even seeing the deeper meaning of accepting you for you.

Ariel Dejesus is a tattoo artist that has been under fire for years now due to her bad tattoos and coverups but recently she’s had a resurgence due to one of her latest mistakes.

The biggest issue with most of Dejesus’s tattoos is that they are not done correctly and lead them to looking awful. Many fellow tattoo artists online have said that she puts the needle in too far causing the skin of the tattoo to be chopped up, that her ink lines blur making the tattoos she creates blurry looking and that she takes other peoples art off the internet with no permission or credit, coining it as her own. But many people still go to her because her prices are on the cheaper side.

Recently, on March 4, she posted a video of one of her infamous coverups, a practice in tattooing where you coverup a tattoo that you don’t like anymore and replace it with a new one. Because you can’t just completely get rid of an old tattoo, tattoo artists work hard in making the new one cohesive with the old, blending the old one in to look like a completely new piece. However, Dejesus doesn’t do this.

When the client came in with a faith over fear tattoo wanting to be covered up, Dejesus just inked right over it, making a huge blurry and dingy looking cupcake. Many people saw this and were appalled, saying it was plain hideous. Ariel Dejesus hasn’t responded to any of this feedback yet but people aren’t surprised, as she has been making these same bad tattoos for over ten years.
