As of April 15, journalism advisor Ronald Goins had been missing and nowhere to be found. His 6th-period ninth-grade honors English class last saw him on Friday, April 12.
Many Journalism students simply believed that he was taking a break as we’d just published our spring issue. But this absence went on for over a week and this was uncharacteristic of our advisor. He’s always present and always pestering his students to meet deadlines and get work done.
Without their beloved advisor, the Journalism class has been weary not knowing what to do or who to interview and it’s imperative that he comes back so if you have seen Mr. Goins or know about his whereabouts please contact the Mirror at room 112.
The weight of the greatness of the publication rests on Mr. Goins’ shoulder.
Update:
Our advisor has returned and all balance has been restored to the Mirror as of today, April 26! The publication was once lost, but we’ve found our way once again all thanks to Goins. Despite being completely trampled by the trials and tribulations of covid-19, he persevered!
