The bottom line | On Thursday, April 13, the Wolves’ boys tennis team faced off against San Fernando High School, and won due to a forfeit from the Tigers.
Highlights |
- Due to a short amount of players for the Tigers, they had to forfeit, meaning the Wolves were able to have a light and fun game.
- In their doubles game, Eric Heng and Gautham Ganeshwara had a tiebreaker and ultimately won the set.
- Due to the forfeit, the Wolves allowed some of their JV players to go head-to-head against the Tigers, which was good practice for both JV and Varsity players.
- Overall, the Wolves managed to win a solid six out of the seven matches they played.
What’s next | After a fortunate win due to a forfeit, the Wolves will seek to defeat the Reseda Regents to maintain their outstanding, six game winning streak. This game will take place on Monday, April 17, at the Wolves den.
Team thoughts | “So far, based on our team’s performance, I think our team is set to win the city championship for the next two years,” Daxon Beaumia said. “Everyone has huge potential and will end up doing amazing in the future. They also have a great vibe and everyone gets along.”
Our thoughts | Our tennis team is doing an amazing job so far this season, with a nine game winning streak. Based on their games so far, I could see them remaining undefeated even until the end of their season.
