On January 18, 2023 Van Nuys High school's girls basketball team went up against Kennedy.

- The girls managed to maintain a strong defense during the whole game even though their offense struggled to keep up.
- Cara Dechathong #40 stands out per usual and comes in clutch with the 3’s.
- Towards the end of the game, they started to pick up the momentum, which motivated the rest of the team to get it together.
What’s next | The next game for the girls basketball team will be on Friday, Jan. 20, at Reseda High School.

Our thoughts | Despite the loss to the Kennedy Cougars, the girls gave it their all and will work to bounce back in their next game.
