The bottom line | The girls volleyball team played the Kennedy Cougars, but lamentably lost with a score of 0-3.
Highlights |
- Alyssa Islas #24, got a block on the Cougar’s hardest hitter, which doesn’t happen often because of her position as a setter.
- Adrienne Mita #12, helped her team stay strong with her powerful spikes, and kept them together although they were trailing behind in points.
What’s next | After losing the last game of the season, the girls will continue to try their hardest and practice to get them ready for the playoffs. The Wolves will take on King/Drew’s Golden Eagles in their first playoff game taking place on Oct. 27 at 4 pm at home.
Team thoughts | “The game was really tough and it was a rough way to end the season. We definitely didn’t want to lose our last game of the year. But I am really excited for the playoffs since it’s my last year here and I want to end it with a ring and I know that all the other girls are hungry for it too.” says Alyssa Islas, #24.
Our thoughts | I think that our girls volleyball team can do really well in the playoffs based on their previous games. They had an amazing season, and I hope to see them continue doing well in the future. As long as they keep communicating, practicing, and trying their best, I believe that they can accomplish their future goals.
