“Isle of Dogs” is a stop-motion animated movie that will premiere in theaters on Mar. 23, 2018.
The story takes place in a Japanese city called Megasaki, which is infected by a canine flu. This forces Mayor Kobayashi to implement the banishment of all dogs to a remote, island dump. But a 12-year old boy, Atari Kobayashi (Koyu Rankin), sets out to find his beloved dog and encounters many canine friends on the way, creating an unpredictable journey for him and his friends.
Directed by Wes Anderson, who is known for his works on “Fantastic Mr. Fox,” “Isle of Dogs” will feature the voices of Koyu Rankin as Atari, Bryan Cranston as Chief, Edward Norton as Rex, Bill Murray as Boss, Jeff Goldblum as Duke, Bob Balaban as King, Liev Schreiber as Spots, Scarlett Johansson as Nutmeg and Tilda Swinton as Oracle.
