The Wolves lose their final pre-season game

The boys volleyball team played against the Verdugo Hills Dons in a home game on Thursday, Feb. 23., and unfortunately lost with a score of 0-3.

The bottom line | The boys volleyball team played against the Verdugo Hills Dons in a home game on Thursday, Feb. 23., and unfortunately lost with a score of 0-3.

Highlights | 

  • Steven Jiang, #1, had serves that were too powerful for the other team to receive, which gave the Wolves multiple points.
  • Devon Brown, #3, and Jerom Alappatt #8 both had amazing spikes against the Dons.
  • Antonieco Erasmo, #13, was able to block the spikes commenced by the Dons, preventing the Dons from getting easy points.

What’s next | The Wolves will next take on the Panorama Pythons in their first league game on Monday, Feb. 27, at the Python’s palace.

Team thoughts | “The Verdugo game was a shocker. Coming into it we knew they would be a tough match. But without our libero, our defense was really lacking,” said Antonieco Erasmo. 

Word on campus| “I am kind of sad that our team lost, although I know that they gave it their all. I believe that with more practice, the Wolves will have an amazing start to the season,” said Isabel Valles.
