Fire on the field: LAFD continues to support VNHS by giving the cheer team a ride during the parade.

Shortly after the parade, the dance company performs a show to the song “Now That We Found Love” by Heavy D and the Boys, on the field. Both football teams cleared the area for the dance company to take the spotlight right before the National Anthem began.

Like always, JROTC opens up the parade with the entire battalion leading the rest of the groups. Colorguard, unarmed, sabres, armed drill, and platoon cadets shouted cadences and showed off their military prowess.

Along with sport teams and extracurricular classes, many different clubs also joined the parade. Clubs such as GSA, BSU, St. Jude, Weightlifting club, and more showed off their club pride as they walked around the field.

Soccer team members juggle soccer balls with their feet as they marched along the parade to show off their skills and appeal to others who are interested in the sport.

Many other sports also showed up to march in the parade. Other than Girls’ Basketball, other sport teams that marched with their respective members were baseball, soccer, and water polo.

Many extracurricular classes joined the parade and showed their school spirit such as Dance Company. Other extracurricular classes that showed up were Choir, ASB, and Marching Band.

Marching band follows after JROTC and plays tunes as they walk around the track. They played “Loc” and “Washington and Lee Swing” as they marched in front of the student body.
On Friday, Oct. 14, a parade took place on the field right before the varsity football game started.
Many sports, extracurricular classes, clubs, and groups showed up to show off their school pride and kick off homecoming weekend.
Before the parade started, ASB played music to entertain the crowd. The stands were already full even before the parade started.
Other groups that also made an appearance were LAPD, the administrators, and even the LAFD, who continue to show support for the Wolves like in previous years.
The dance company also provided a show before the game started.
