The Mirror wins second consecutive Pacemaker Award

The print newspaper from last year continues to rack up accolades in various competitions.

 

The writing, design and unique illustrations combined to create a newspaper that was recognized as one of the 28 winners out of 66 nominated newspapers. (CREDIT: NATHAN HAN | THE MIRROR )

The Mirror is officially awarded the Pacemaker award for Best Newspaper/Newsmagazine. 

This is the second-consecutive year that The Mirror’s print newspaper has won this award and it is the third time being nominated. 

The NSPA presented the awards virtually to The Mirror and 28 other winners on Nov.13. 

Co-Print-Editors-in-Chief  Ani Tutunjyan and Andre Rodas along with Adviser Mr. Ronald Goins conducted the staff-writers and editors to the second Pacemaker in the school’s history. 

Principal Lourdes De Santiago Ramirez congratulated the journalism staff on Schoology, recognizing it as the top honor that a scholastic newspaper can win.
