Tigers Handle The Wolves

Penalties prevent the Wolves from picking up back to back wins as they fall to Lincoln High.

Coming off their first win of the season, the Varsity Football Team looked to make back to back wins when they played the Lincoln Tigers on Friday, Sep. 7.

The Wolves generated huge chunks of yardage in the first half due to several big runs from the running backs. However, costly penalties prevented the Wolves from entering the red zone and hindered their scoring chances. By the end of the half, the Tigers would have a 28-0 edge over the Wolves.

The offense picked up their momentum in the second half as the Wolves scored two rushing touchdowns due to the play of Jonathan Phosri and Elijah Porter.

Despite picking up the offensive pace and holding the Tigers to one touchdown in the second half, the Wolves ultimately fell short in completing their comeback.

Final Score: 35-16
