“Bring It On,” the latest production by Actors In Action, premiered March 21, 2019 at the Donna Hubbard Auditorium.

The musical, a tale of two very different high schools, is written by Linn Manuel-Miranda, who also wrote the Broadway smash hit “Hamilton,” and Tom Kitt.

The new cheer captain of the Truman High School, Campbell, transfers to crosstown rival Jackson High School where she befriends a hip-hop dance crew.

Ultimately, she competes with her new squad against her old pals at Truman at the National Championships.

Natalie Chavez plays the role of Campbell, Nicholas Bowler plays her Truman High boyfriend Steven, and Darian Calderon plays Randall, Campbell’s love interest at Jackson High.

General admission tickets are on sale before the performances at the Donna Hubbard box office for $10. Remaining performances are scheduled for March 28 at 3:30 p.m. and March 29-30 at 7 p.m.
