- There were two home runs hit by the Wolves this game. The first was hit by third baseman Marvin Rivera (#16) with two runners on base, putting the Wolves in the lead. 5-1 in just the second inning. - The team also showed off their great defense, with senior Marvin Rivera and catcher Nate Renard making difficult plays with ease.
What’s Next | The team’s next game is on Saturday, April 20, at 10 a.m. against Sun Valley Magnet. Then, they return back home Monday, April 22 to play against San Fernando High School.
Team Thoughts | “I was really mad before the game because we shouldn’t have lost to them in the first game but the anger was also a good thing, we all play better when we’re mad,” third baseman Marvin Rivera said. “The home run felt great, and it was even better that I hit one against Canoga Park, just to show them who’s better.”
Our Thoughts | Walking into the game, the Wolves displayed a determined attitude. Following their loss against Canoga Park, they practiced the next three days to improve on the mistakes they made during that game. The practice clearly paid off because they made minimal mistakes and were able to hit two home runs against the Hunters. The Wolves have a very bright future ahead of them, so make sure to go out to support the team.
