Three fun things to do this weekend to kick off February
In honor of black history month, The Hip Pop Museum on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood is exhibiting a collection of mixtapes and footage from several legendary hip hop artists. Artists such as Death Row, Snoop Dogg, Nipsey Hussle and more will be featured and portrayed in this exhibit. It first opens on Jan. 31 and will be on display every Wednesday through Sunday until March 17, so be sure to schedule your visit before it’s gone. Tickets range from $29 to $39 per visitor. 6400 Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90028 Jan. 31 – March 17
Rain and cold weather are forecasted to pelt Los Angeles over the next few days, making this weekend the perfect chance to invite some friends over to watch some great new movies and shows. We recommend checking out “Griselda” on Netflix, “The Underdogs” on Prime Video and “Baddies East” on Zeus TV.
After rainy days when the wet dirt is fresh and tree leaves are soaking with raindrops, we find a perfect time to take a fresh breath of air in the heart of nature! A great hiking trail located just outside of Hollywood is the stunning Mount Hollywood Trail. This trail provides many iconic views of the city, including the Hollywood sign, Downtown LA and the majority of Griffith Park, including the Griffith Observatory. The five-mile trail is a perfect way to get a workout in after being stuck inside all weekend. Los Angeles, CA 90027
LAUSD's budget leaves the award-winning journalism program at Van Nuys High School with a $0 budget in the upcoming school year. Without YOUR support, The Mirror cannot cover its expenses, hurting students directly and putting something that took years to build at genuine risk of falling behind.
Please consider making a donation to cover other VNHS journalism program expenses this school year
