The Accrediting Commission for Schools Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) reaffirmed its six-year accreditation to Van Nuys High School until June 2023.

The accreditation is based from the school’s performance and progress report, as assessed during the WASC on-campus visit on March 2nd.

The association looked for improvement in instruction as compared to the last visit back in 2016, when the school was granted the six-year accreditation.

WASC is a world-renowned accrediting association with the mission of recognizing schools for its excellence and success in teaching students. Accreditation for the school means upholding the integrity and standards of VNHS, legitimizing students’ diplomas to colleges and companies.
