The Girls Varsity Tennis Team swept the Reseda Regents on Thursday, Oct.4.

In the singles matches the Wolves completed the day with a 4-0 sweep. Strong serving allowed them to keep Reseda out of balance so they could use forehand swings.

The Regents were unable to control the flow of the singles matches, leaving the team in disarray for the whole afternoon.

In doubles matches, the chemistry of the Van Nuys players was essential to their sweep. Coordination and communication allowed the players to exploit the Regents’ weaknesses as the Wolves rallied along. Ultimately the forehand and backhand swings propelled the Wolves to victory as they overwhelmed the Regents.

“It was a great team victory for us,” said team member Alexa Pinto.

Final Score: 8-0

NEXT GAME: Van Nuys vs. Sylmar on Monday, Oct.8.
