Wolves embrace the heat in first cross country meet of the year against Sylmar High held at Pierce College.

The Varsity Cross Country Team participated in their first cross country meet of the year at Pierce College on Wednesday, Sept. 26.

The Wolves and Sylmar Spartans began the day with three miles runs for both the Men’s Team and Women’s Team. The Wolves had seven runners placed in the top ten. Holden Daddario, Stepan Hovsepyan, and Jason Espinoza led the pack as they placed fourth, fifth and sixth place in the overall standings.

For the Lady Wolves they had four runners in the top five of the overall standings. Arianna Villalobos led the way as she placed second. She was followed by Angie Hernandez, Emily Choi, and Lindsey Flores who placed third, fourth and fifth, respectively.
