Los Angeles is known for having delicious tacos all around the city, and Taco Madness brings that reputation to life. On May 2, instead of going to many places to try different tacos, you only have to go to one spot. The event lets you try tacos from a bunch of vendors all in one place. From 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., each vendor competes, making the event even more exciting. Ticket prices range from $0 to $20, with kids under 14 eating for free. The event also includes music, art and a crowd that makes it feel more like a festival than just a food stop.
Address: Gloria Molina Grand Park, 200 N Grand Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90012, USA
On May 1 to 3, BeachLife festival combines live music with ocean views, creating both a fun and relaxed atmosphere and a beautiful environment. With a mix of different music genres and plenty of food options and live performances right by the beach, you should definitely consider going if you enjoy concerts. Tickets vary depending on what you’re planning to get, but kids six and under with a ticketed adult are free!
Address: 239 N Harbor Drive, Redondo Beach, CA 90277
If you’re looking for something more relaxed, the Natural History Museum is a good option. It has exhibits on everything from dinosaurs to human history, so there’s a lot to explore without it feeling repetitive. For adults tickets are $18, for seniors and students it’s $14, for children it’s $7, children two and under are free. You can go at your own pace, which makes it an easy plan if you don’t want something too crowded or overwhelming.
Address: 900 Exposition Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90007
LAUSD's budget leaves the award-winning journalism program at Van Nuys High School with a $0 budget in the upcoming school year. Without YOUR support, The Mirror cannot cover its expenses, hurting students directly and putting something that took years to build at genuine risk of falling behind.
Please consider making a donation to cover other VNHS journalism program expenses this school year
