Three things to do this weekend to kick off Thanksgiving break
The temperature is dropping and the sun is setting quicker, laying out the perfect mood for an afternoon boat ride. Reserve a boat ride across Echo Park Lake for $13 an hour for adults and $7.50 an hour for ages 17 and younger. These rides take place on Nov. 23 and 24 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Located at 7044 Hollywood Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90028, the Hollywood sightseeing and celebrity tour offers a memorable experience for pop culture fanatics. The tour itself is two hours long, with adult tickets costing $44, $34 for children and $5 for infants. Stroll past the most memorable sights of L.A. on Nov. 23 and 24 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Experience the Eclectic at the Odditorium on Nov. 23 and 24 at Ripley’s Believe-it-or-Not Museum– which offers unique wonders and flashy oddities. Known for presenting the strange and unusual sides of the world, the museum is fun for ages four and up, costing $25.99. Located at 6780 Hollywood Blvd, Hollywood, CA 90028.
LAUSD's budget leaves the award-winning journalism program at Van Nuys High School with a $0 budget in the upcoming school year. Without YOUR support, The Mirror cannot cover its expenses, hurting students directly and putting something that took years to build at genuine risk of falling behind.
Please consider making a donation to cover other VNHS journalism program expenses this school year
