Last year’s CIF Los Angeles City champion boys volleyball team hasn’t performed at quite the same level as they did last season.
Winning only 13 of a total 28 matches, the spikers have struggled to live up to the expectations everyone had for them coming into this season.
They finished the season sitting at third in their divisional standings with a 7-5 record, with one team loss coming from a forfeited match against the Reseda Regents.
The match was forfeited a week after the team beat Reseda because a player who did not meet the GPA requirement played in the game unbeknownst to their ineligibility.
The volleyball team’s season officially came to a close on May 14 after losing in the 2022 CIF LA City Section Boys’ Volleyball Championship, 3-0, against the Narbonne Gauchos.
