Three things to do this weekend
Entering the spooky season of fall, experience the Los Angeles Haunted Hayride. This year, the experience has included new escape games that allow you to test your wit throughout the scary mazes. The 2024 Haunted Hayride theme takes us back to the mid-80s in the fictitious town of Midnight Falls, where there will be ax throwing, water balloon-based paintball and the Hellbilly Halloween maze. This event ends on October 31, 2024, and is located in Griffith Park. Purchase tickets here!
Located at 221 S Grand Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90012 the Broad Museum is a free, contemporary art museum in Downtown L.A. with a collection of contemporary art from the 1950s. From micro to jumbo art, it’s an interesting experience that opens your minds to new perspectives and curiosity, leaving lasting memories that inspire new discoveries.
With a trail leading to a floral entry, followed by an amazing view, observe the beautiful shimmering lights of downtown Los Angeles from above Griffith Park. Even when the Griffith Observatory is closed on Mondays, you can still drive up or hike towards this view, which is a fun alternative to a boring night.
LAUSD's budget leaves the award-winning journalism program at Van Nuys High School with a $0 budget in the upcoming school year. Without YOUR support, The Mirror cannot cover its expenses, hurting students directly and putting something that took years to build at genuine risk of falling behind.
Please consider making a donation to cover other VNHS journalism program expenses this school year
