This “New Currents” playlist expresses the idea of going with the flow into becoming the best version of yourself for the New Year with the likes of fan favorites from Clairo, HAIM, Tame Impala and many more.

Csarina Jarencio is the Podcast/Social Media Editor for The Mirror. She is a senior in her second year of publication. Outside of journalism, she enjoys watching movies, listening to music and cooking food. Her favorite movie is “Frances Ha” because it demonstrates how normal it is to get lost in life even as an adult. She listens to music to relax herself, mainly alternative. Csarina’s current favorite song is “Savior Complex.” After high school she plans to study film or public health.

MISSION STATEMENT

Established in 2016, the Mirror is an award-winning student-run online publication designed to deliver timely, accurate news as well as unique and eye-opening opinions, reviews and photography to the Van Nuys High School community. It exists as a platform for students to utilize their First Amendment right to express themselves freely and without fear.
