The senior assembly for students and parents took place entirely on Zoom.

The Senior Assembly for the class of 2022 took place on Zoom on Wednesday.

Seniors were encouraged to attend with their parents to receive information on graduation, prom and graduation requirements.

Graduation will be on Thursday, June 9 at 7 p.m. Although Graduation plans have not been finalized due to fluctuating covid-19 rates, it is more than likely that it will be held in-person like last year according to Graduation Coordinator Mr. Marc Strassner.

Seniors have the option to choose from three different Graduation packages, all at various price points. While all options previously offered four tickets for each family, it may be limited to two based on new covid precautions.

Some other senior events happening are Senior Kickoff, Prom and Grad Nite. Senior Kickoff will be held next Tuesday in which seniors will participate in color wars — wearing either pink, red, green or blue — and participate in games, one of which will be “Squid Game”-themed.

Prom rules and event plans may change as the year continues, but the event is currently set to happen at the Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village on Saturday, May 14.

Grad Night will be held next year at Universal Studios Hollywood on June 3. 400 tickets have been reserved and each one is estimated to cost $110-125.

The Senior Board plans to raise money for events by selling senior class hoodies, voted for by seniors through Schoology, for $30 to $40. One of the ways in which the board is raising money for the event is by selling the senior class hoodies for an estimated price between $30 to $40.

Yearbook revealed their cover art to seniors and parents for the first time and plans to sell them for $65.

Assistant principals Ms. ___ Bonney and Ms. __ Phillips also went over graduation requirements.

Seniors must have 210 credits and complete all their A-G requirements and have seven or less full day absences in order to graduate. Covid-19 excused absences are not counted.

All textbooks from senior and previous years must also be returned to graduate.
